SENSITIVE VISUALS
Waiting
About:
What makes us squirm, fidget, text and freak out until our train arrives and we can be on our way? If trains were always arriving would we be calm, relaxed, sociable and unconcerned? Are we trying to be on time or just on our way? Who is responsible for our wait? Have we always been like this? These photographs were taken at a time of major change on the North Side Redline. Many of the stations were being remodeled which causes…Waiting or inconvenience to many commuters. There is no doubt that if there were no construction, Waiting would still be largely a part of our commute, but I believe the time we sit idle on the train until we get from point A to B is largely on our minds and in turn, our relationship to our environment. |
